After installing Syncrify on your machine, open up your favorite web browser and enter the following URL in order to connect to the Syncrify web console:http://localhost:5800
You should see the following message:
Clicking the next button will prompt you to create an admin password. Please note that admin is a special user in Syncrify. See Admin, Users, & Profiles for more information. Additionally, check out Syncrify Server Security Configuration for information on how to change your password after the initial setup.
By default, the Restrict admin access to localhost checkbox is selected. This restricts the admin user to connect to Syncrify only via the local machine. For added security, when this box is checked, no one can connect using the admin account from other machines even if they know the password. If you want to allow administrators to access Syncrify Server from other machines, uncheck this checkbox.NOTE: See Syncrify Server Security Configuration for information on how to enable/disable this setting in the future.
The next screen will ask you to submit the Administrator's email address in order to receive important notifications regarding your installation of Syncrify.
The Setup Wizard automatically detects the Outgoing SMTP Server in your network. If you wish to specify a different email configuration, feel free to change the provided values.
Syncrify's Setup Wizard also detects and automatically configures your local and network Firewall. (Note: Network router is only configured if UPnP is enabled.)
Once you have submitted this information, your Syncrify Server setup is complete and you are ready to connect to the admin web console.
