DeltaCopy - Connection Errors

Hi, I'm trying to install and run DeltaCopy between a W2003 Server and my desktop. I want to have the server back up files to my XP desktop. I have installed and started the Server on my desktop and it runs. When I try to connect the Deltacopy client on the W2003 box to the Deltacopy Server on my desktop, I get this error "Unable to establish connection. rsync: failed to connect to 192.168.0.12: Connection timed out (116)". I open port 873/tcp on the windows firewall on my xp desktop and then the error changes to "Unable to establish connection. rsync: failed to connect to 192.168.0.12: Connection refused (111)". Right now, I do not know where to look - there's no mention in the documentation about any errors. I'm not using authentication for the sync, just trying to get it working. Help please. I'm stuck!!!

DeltaCopy - Connection Errors

Hi Bilbo, I had a very similar issue and resolved it by *not* running the DeltaCopy service under a domain account, but under a local account. As soon as I did that, I could connect without issue. Also, I only had to allow 873/TCP in the Windows Firewall on the DeltaCopy Server for it to work across the network during my tests - I didn't make exceptions for any of the applications themselves. Hope this helps. Regards, HiltonT >Hi, > >I'm trying to install and run DeltaCopy between a W2003 Server and my desktop. I >want to have the server back up files to my XP desktop.
