Host Name Changed

One of our Syncrify Client machines  joined a different Workgroup and suddenly updates were not working properly.

Looking at the Syncrify Server under existing clients, a new client has been added with the host name "4SXeBga7 (001FC6F5FFFF)" and it has taken up a license seat.

The old host name is still there "MyPC2 (001FC6F5FFFF)" but Syncrify is no longer using it so I removed it to free a license.

Why did Syncrify change the Host name (the name never actually changed on the client computer) and how do I put it back?

Host Name Changed

A client in Syncrify is uniquely identified by it's host name and NIC. If host name changes, you will have to remove the older name from Syncrify Server.

Host Name Changed

That's just the thing, the Host name didn't change... Syncrify for some reaon thinks it has and used up another license for it.

I actually removed both the old one and the new one that Syncrify Server created in the Syncrify Server interface and when I try syncing from the client, it recreates the new one with the strange Host name.

Host Name Changed

Could you please open a Command Prompt on the client's machine and type "hostname". What does it return?
