Revolving around the core of technology
I needed to pause the syncrify job I was running. The only way I saw to pause the job was to disable it. Now when I try to log in to the client, the default profile isn't found. The field under Available profiles is blank. I get a Invalid Operation message. I can open the data folder and see the default profile .syncrify file. When I do that I am taken to the Job History page and the profile is listed under Available Profiles. However if I try to click on any other link in the left hand menu I get the Invalid Operation message again.
How do I get the profile to work again?
The best way to prevent a profile from running is to disable the schedule. Is that what you did?
I feel something got corrupted. Try the following steps:
Try again.
If that does not work, try removing C:\ProgramData\Syncrify\htdocs and C:\ProgramData\Syncrify\config folders.
I did disable the schedule. What is the better way to pause the job from running on its schedule?
I followed the instructions and it took removing the htdocs and config folders but it works now. Thanks!
Disabling the scheduler is the correct way to accomplish this.
Alternatively, you could temporarily stop the Backup Monitor Service to prevent scheduled tasks from running in Syncrify, but that will disable every profile, and you won't see this client from the server's end. Therefore, the first option is preferred.
