Steps to Manually Update Syncrify Server
- Download SyncrifyManualUpdate.zip using the link provided by our support department.
- Extract the contents of this file to the $INSTALL_DIR\patches folder. ($INSTALL_DIR is the location where Syncrify is installed.)
- The following image displays these files:
- Next, log in to Syncrify's web interface as admin
- Click the link to Restart on the right hand side
- If you watch the $INSTALL_DIR\patches folder as Syncrify is restarting, you should notice that every file except AppLauncher.jar disappears
- Confirm the new build number once Syncrify Server is up and running again.
Steps to Manually Update Syncrify Client (Integrated Client)
If you are using the service-based client, it should get updated automatically when the serever is updated. This section is only meaningful if you are using the integrated client.
With regards to Syncrify Client, all you need is to replace the existing copy of SyncrifyClient.jar with the newer version. A copy of this file can be found in SyncrifyManualUpdate.zip that you received from our support department.
We recommend you make a backup before replacing it (in case you need to rollback). This file is located in the folder where you have installed Syncrify Client. The following table shows the default location for Syncrify Client on different Operating Systems:
