System requirements for Synametrics Mail Junction

Machine Configuration

• Windows 2000, XP, or 2003, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX
• 256 MB Ram - 512 recommended
• 1 GHz CPU or higher
• 50 MB for the program binaries. Additional hard disk will be required for email storage, which depends on the volume of emails received by your Email Server. This number can potentially grow to giga bytes.

Client-side requirements

A web browser is required on the client side, which can be one of the following.

• Microsoft Internet Explorer
• Mozilla Firefox
• Opera
• Safari

Email server

Synametrics Mail Junction works with any email server that supports POP3 and/or IMAP protocols. Here is a partial list of email servers that can be used.

• Sendmail
• Sun ONE messaging server
• Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, and 2003
• Lotus Notes/Domino
• GroupWise
• Apache James
• Any other SMTP complaint mail server
